What are our aims?
The Pier at Bognor Regis is without doubt one of the most loved and unique buildings and places to visit in our Town.
The aim of the Bognor Pier Trust is to prevent any further loss or damage to the Pier’s structure and eventually restore it to what it was, an asset and attraction for the town. Bognor Pier Trust is working with the Pier owner to investigate bringing the Pier into community ownership. We are working with the Heritage Lottery Fund to achieve this.
The Vision of the Trust is to “Make Bognor Regis Pier one of the outstanding visitor attractions in the South East” by protecting and restoring its historic architecture and character, and honour seaside tradition whilst recognising modern day interests and expectations.
We would love to see it one day returned to the elegant and traditional pier of yesteryear, and at the very least to secure its future, by protecting it from further damage or loss to its structure.
Five point action plan for 2016
- Commission specialist services to enable preparation for the bid.
- Explore all funding options available to support the Project.
- Build membership though events and Gazebo days.
- Public engagement including developing ideas.
- Submit stage one of the main Heritage Enterprise Lottery bid.

Future awareness locations for our Gazebo.
We need to keep up the momentum of going out and talking to people about what we are trying to achieve. This needs to be both in Bognor Regis and in the surrounding villages and towns with our Gazebo days
