On Saturday 19th March, F0BRP members and guests were taken back in time for a taste of some of those nostalgic naughty schooldays. As you will see from the array of photos, school uniform was almost compulsory and Suspects and Witnesses must be commended on their attention to detail in this matter.
The murder mystery was set during the Headteacher’s retirement evening in the fictional Halibut Lane Community College, aka the Regis Centre. There were nine teams vying for the winning place and, by taking part in various curriculum based activities and successfully naming the Murderer, all but one guest eventually survived the evening.
One particularly inventive schoolboy surreptitiously shared a large quantity of paper planes with the assembly and caused chaos! Apart from a detention, he is also awarded an A* for the impressive aerodynamic quality of his invention – ConClaude.
Everyone threw themselves into this third murder mystery evening, consumed their fish and chips, availed themselves of copious raffle tickets because of the super prizes on offer, and a jolly evening was had by all. Our hearty congratulations go to the only team who managed to solve the crime – the School of Fish. Also, a huge thank you to everyone who put such effort into their costumes.
Finally, retiring Head ‘Inky’ Wells (Ken Blamires), conferred Gold Stars on the following students for their outstanding appearance: Hermione Swott 9c (Sue Beeby), Frau Kami Schlupher – the German teacher (Hazel Denman) and shy schoolgirl from 7A (Jean Stow).
